
ATMC was founded in 1989 by Dixie D. Hahn, president of All The Difference and All That Maintenance & Construction (ATMC) in response to the early managed properties' boom and their foreseen need for both day-to-day as well as annual maintenance services. ATMC provided quick and immediate response to managed properties' requests for maintenance service with a team of professional field technicians — experienced carpenters, licensed mason, licensed plumber, etc. — a multitude of maintenance capabilities in the western suburbs, usually at any hour of the day or night.
Hahn, in managing association properties, quickly foresaw the need for maintenance services for her managed properties, and immediately founded ATMC, hiring professional field technicians with a wide variety of skills and experience to handle any and all requests for maintenance service for not only managed properties, but, as word spread, other properties as well.
Through the years, ATMC's maintenance services became widespread throughout the Chicago and suburban area. ATMC is a member of the Association of Condominium, Townhome and Homeowner Associations, (ACTHA), the Chicagoland Apartment Association, (CAA), and the Illinois Chapter of Community Association Institute, (CAI), participating in their trade shows and establishing a marketing department to develop additional methods of promotion.
Hahn foresaw not only day-to-day maintenance service to any and all clients but to develop a proactive maintenance program for managed properties wherein annual maintenance items would be automatically serviced at the appropriate time without prompting from the client.
Today, ATMC responds to maintenance service requests from its managed properties as well as commercial, multi-tenant and residential clients — be it maintenance repairs or remodeling a kitchen or bathroom. ATMC's company motto states: "Total Quality Service With Each Customer Each Day" with the added reminder, "remember, today's 'minor' repair could well become tomorrow's 'major' repair".
